NESC Announces Return of Annual Conference and Awards

After two years of making the difficult decision to postpone the annual Nebraska Safety Council (NESC, nesafetycouncil.org) Conference and Tradeshow due to COVID-19, they are pleased to bring this event back on Thursday, April 21, in Lincoln at the Graduate Hotel. Their number one priority is to keep their employees and community safe, so they will continue to monitor local health conditions and follow CDC guidelines to assess best practices as they approach the conference.

The NESC Conference and Tradeshow will include: Awards luncheon showcasing the Midwest’s outstanding safety and wellness programs and Legacy Awards honoring individuals; an exciting line-up of educational sessions on a variety of safety, wellness, leadership, environmental, and human resource topics; an exhibit hall filled with safety products and services as well as additional worksite wellness vendors; and demonstrations of the latest safety and wellness products and services at each session break in the exhibit hall. Register online here.

NESC is also pleased to announce that applications are open for a Safety and Wellness Award now through Monday, February 28. The NESC Safety Award is only available to NESC members and is free to apply for. The focus is almost primarily on safety with a little extra bonus help in wellness. Estimated time to complete the award – only one hour!

The Worker 360° Award is a new award that focuses on safety and wellness. This award is available to NESC members and non-members and is free to apply for. There are Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels of the award. Each level is dependent on the specific requirements which determine award eligibility. This award is sponsored by the Healthier Workforce Center of the Midwest, Nebraska State Chamber, and the Nebraska Safety Council. Apply online here.

Finally, NESC invites you to join them for an Application Workshop on Friday, February 18. This workshop will be held in-person and online to help applicants get started on their application(s). Register for this event here.
