Nebraska Shakespeare Announces 2022 Special Events, Shakespeare on the Green
Nebraska Shakespeare (nebraskashakespeare.com) is excited to announce its upcoming events for the 2022 season. First, Sunday, April 3 is Nebraska Shakespeare’s Soup2Nuts Friendraiser. Join them for a celebration of some of the most exciting chefs in Omaha with incredible soups and breads! Bring your family and friends for great food and highlights of the 2022 Shakespeare on the Green season.
The Art of Shakespeare will be held May 13-22, and will feature an exhibit of Nebraska artists as they show case work themed around their 2022 Shakespeare in the Park season. Artwork will be auctioned/sold and all proceeds to be split 50/50 with artists. Artist submissions are being sought.
The Bards’ Sofa will be held July 3, 10, and 17. It is a series of special guests and conversation about Shakespeare and creativity. Guest speakers will include authors, actors, and playwrights that represent the very best of their craft moderated by local personalities.
October 1 will be the End of the Season Gala, an evening of food, friends, and celebration of the very best of Nebraska Shakespeare. The evening will honor and recognize the people, businesses, and organizations who set a strong example of the organization they continue to aspire to become.
In addition to these special events, Shakespeare on the Green will be held June 23 – July 17 at Elmwood Park. This year’s productions include The Tempest, directed by Scott Glasser, and Othello, directed by Rachel Grossman. Learn more about this annual event at nebraskashakespeare.com.
