Nebraska Safety Council Announces New Executive Director John M. Lefler, Jr.

The Nebraska Safety Council (NESC, nesafetycouncil.org) welcomes their new executive director, John M. Lefler, Jr. John brings over 20 years of experience with a broad background in management, marketing, and sales. He most recently served as the chief operating officer with The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum in Ashland.

“I am excited and humbled for this opportunity with the Nebraska Safety Council and WorkWell,” said John. “For over 60 years, the NESC has provided education and services to empower Nebraskans to live safe and healthy lives. Whether in the office, production floor, off-site, or behind the wheel, the team at NESC is committed to organizations of all sizes and industries across Nebraska.”

The board is very optimistic that John will take NESC forward in an exciting and dynamic direction. Further, NESC is grateful for the previous leadership under former executive director, Lisa Henning, whose leadership throughout the pandemic was commendable and not an easy task.”
