Last month, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC, www.nawicomaha.com) Greater Omaha Chapter #116 completed its annual election process. Ballots were distributed to members and a quorum was achieved. Each elected position received the required simple majority vote.
The new officers for the 2022-2023 year are as follows:
• President – Jennifer Harris
• Vice President – Lori Ruzicka
• Recording Secretary – Bobbi Jo Lang
• Corresponding Secretary – Lexie Ruiz
• Treasurer – Jenna Beyer
• Board of Directors – Lisa Beresiwsky, Jen Cowher, Jasmyn Flowers, Brianna Ouedraogo, Cathy Sorrell
National Association of Women in Construction Greater Omaha Chapter #116 is based in Omaha and encompasses Lincoln, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding areas. The chapter was chartered in 1965 currently has over 80 members. Their membership includes women who work for companies that do business primarily in the construction industry. Meetings for the Greater Omaha chapter are on the second Thursday of each month in varied locations and are open to the public.
