To further connect and assist women, the Metro Omaha Women’s Business Center (MOWBC, mowbcf.org) is hosting their 10th annual masquerade ball on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Steppe Center, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The ball will benefit The Start-Up Assistance Grant, which supports women entrepreneurs, and Young Entrepreneur Girls (YEG). Formal or semi-formal attire and masquerade masks are suggested, and other masks may be worn at your comfort when not eating or speaking.

The event will have dinner, entertainment, music by DJX, a silent and live auction featuring unique items. We will honor 2 outstanding community leaders and award our startup assistant grants. Their first ball granted an entrepreneur $1,000 in a Startup Assistance Grant, and to date, MOWBC has awarded over $20,000 in start-up assistance.

This special event will not only provide the funding needed to award start-up grants, but also help further their continuous business training and mentoring for women and the YEG girls wanting to go into business.

Metro Omaha Women’s Business Center is a leader in supporting women-owned businesses. Some of their programs include business forum breakfasts, educational seminars, and their premier annual event, the Start-up Assistance Grant Masquerade Ball and Auction.
