Liberty First Credit Union Opens First Omaha Branch Location
Liberty First Credit Union (www.libertyfirstcu.com) proudly opened their first Omaha branch location and hosted their ribbon cutting with the Omaha Chamber of Commerce on May 12. The new, full-service branch is located at 5011 S 108th St. The new location brings Liberty First Credit Union’s total to 6 branches across Lincoln, Seward, and Omaha Nebraska.
“We know members want greater access and more convenience when it comes to their finances, and that’s what we’re giving them with the opening of our Omaha branch,” said Liberty First Credit Union President and CEO Frank Wilber. “Joining the Omaha community helps us offer our financial knowledge and tools to the people of the area, as well as giving us a very accessible location for our current members in the Omaha area to visit when they need a vehicle loan, a mortgage, want to open a new account or simply conduct a transaction in person. That’s why we’re excited to be here. We want to help take the stress out of money management.”
The branch lobby will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The drive-through will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The drive-up ATM has 24/7 access.
Liberty First Credit Union was originally chartered as the Burlington Employees Cooperative Credit Association in 1935 and served the employees of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. In 1943, their request for conversion from a credit association to a credit union was approved. Over the years, Liberty First’s field of membership has grown to include family members, retirees, select groups of occupation and association, those living or working in Lancaster or Seward County, and those related to a member or someone within their field of membership. As their membership has grown, they have continually expanded their range of financial products and services to provide members with the services they desire.
