Kentro Group Buys Former Scoular Headquarters Building in Omaha
Kentro Group, a Denver, Colorado-based real estate investment and development company, has purchased from Scoular (www.scoular.com) its former headquarters building at 2027 Dodge St. The property is being marketed by Investor Realty, and Kentro Group is in active negotiations for nearly half of the available office space already. The company expects to announce tenants shortly. The project represents Kentro Group’s first foray into Omaha, where the company hopes to do more business.
TACKarchitects, a local firm which specializes in modernizing architecturally significant buildings and mixed-use developments, is assisting Kentro Group on the project. Kentro Group has redeveloped a number of beloved properties in Denver, some dating back to the early 1900s.
The building will be renamed shortly, with an appellation that incorporates local significance. The company’s short-term plans include transforming the 87,000-square-foot property into a multi-tenant building. Over the long-term, Kentro Group will pursue additional development on the property.
