Kalisha Reed of Youth Emergency Services to Participate in Nonprofit Executive Institute

Youth Emergency Services (YES, www.yesomaha.org) is proud to announce Director of Program Services Kalisha Reed has been selected to participate in the upcoming class of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) Nonprofit Executive Institute (NEI). NEI is an 11-month leadership program designed to offer nonprofit leaders with skills and strategies to enhance organizational sustainability and transform the communities they serve. The NEI is intended for people in nonprofit leadership positions who want to expand their professional network and enhance tactical skills as well as expand their network.

Reed recently joined the YES team after serving as executive director of Right Turn, a statewide organization that helped and supported families of adopted children and individuals who entered into guardianships in Nebraska. In her new role, Reed manages YES programs and services, including its Emergency Shelter, Street Outreach Center, Transitional Living, Maternity Group Home, and Rapid Rehousing, among others.

Youth Emergency Services is a nonprofit assisting youth experiencing homelessness and near-homelessness by providing critically-needed resources which support them in their desire to be self-sufficient. Many of these youth have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, making it unsafe for them to return home. Without YES, these vulnerable young people cannot succeed independently.
