The Jennie Edmundson Foundation (jehfoundation.org) is currently seeking donations for their Medi-Van program. Did you know that getting to and from medical appointments can be a challenge for many patients? Methodist Jennie Edmundson continues to support their patients by providing transportation to those who may not be able to make their appointment without their Medi-Van.

For nearly forty years, the Medi-Van Patient Transportation Program has provided free transportation for people dealing with chronic disease or undergoing therapy. Yearly, the program gives rides to approximately 3,000 patients and travels more than 28,000 miles. This program has supported the health and well-being of some of Jennie’s most vulnerable patients who are unable to drive a car or obtain other transportation due to physical or financial limitations. Each year the cost to maintain the van has increased, especially with gas and upkeep prices on the rise. If you would like to help support this crucial service for our community, donate today by going to jehfoundation.org.

The Jennie Edmundson Foundation works to build a bridge between the community and the hospital to enhance the resources that support Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in meeting the health care needs of the community. Their team believes in the power of philanthropy to save lives. For more information, please call (712) 396-6040 or go to jehfoundation.org.
