WELLCOM (www.elevatingwellness.org) recently honored 26 organizations at the 2015 Excellence in Worksite Wellness Awards Luncheon, held on April 30th at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in La Vista. The Excellence in Worksite Wellness Awards Luncheon is held annually in conjunction with the 2015 Pathways to Wellbeing Symposium (www.pathwaystowellbeingsymposium.org). Awards were presented in three categories: Corporate Health and Productivity Management Award; Trek Up the Tower Corporate Team Champion Award; and the Governor’s Wellness Award.

Together with the Institute for Health and Productivity Management, WELLCOM honored Union Pacific Railroad and Nebraska Medicine with the Corporate Health and Productivity Management Award from the Institute for Health and Productivity Management.

Corporate Team Champion Awards were presented to the top finishing teams of the 2015 Trek Up the Tower vertical stair climb. Honorees included: First National Bank, average time of 32:37; Gallup, average time of 34:02; Kiewit Corporation, average time of 34:11.

Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts helped present the Governor’s Wellness Award to the 2014 recipients, marking the first time the awards were presented in Omaha. Honorees included: Associated Staffing Incorporated (2014), Bennington Public Schools (2014), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska (2014), C&A Industries (2014), Dial Retirement Communities (2013), Dodge County Head Start (2013), Educational Service Unit #2 (2013), Fremont Area Medical Center (2012), Fremont Public Schools (2012), Holmes Murphy (2014), Marian High School (2013), Nye Senior Services-Nye Square (2013), Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District (2013), RDG Planning and Design (2013), Sarpy County Cooperative Head Start (2014), and Streck, Inc. (2014).
