The University of Nebraska Medical Center Board of Counselors held its annual meeting recently, naming new officers and welcoming nine new members.  The board – a group of more than 60 community and business leaders from across the state – advises UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., on health care issues of importance.

Freddie Gray, a management/strategy consultant in Omaha, was named chairperson. Dave Wimmer, retired chairman and CEO of Wimmer’s Meat Products of West Point, will serve as vice chair.  New board members include:   Ann Martin, president, IdeaBank Marketing, Donophan; Charlie Bills, fitness manager, Madonna Proactive, Lincoln; Judy Wilcox, community volunteer, Lincoln; Sean M. Conway, Esq., attorney, Doran, Lustgarten & Troia, PC, Omaha; Weysan Dun, Dun Global Solutions Group LLC, Omaha; Viv Ewing, Ph.D., executive director, Alzheimer’s Association, Omaha; Gail Graeve, president, Graeve Marketing Group, Omaha; Margaret Cavanaugh-Boyer, M.D., partner, Sandhills Family Medicine, Mullen; Jill Broderson, architect, Homestead Homes of America, Inc., Wayne.
