Septemberfest will start festivities Sunday, September 1 with the Up and Over the River Walk and Run.  Runners will set the pace starting at 8:30 a.m. Walkers will have two hours to complete the course, beginning at 9 a.m.

The 8K run from Miller’s Landing, south along the riverfront paths to the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge.  Runners will go over the bridge to Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park and back over the bridge to Miller’s Landing.

Teams, families and individuals can choose to run or walk the route.  The run will be timed and managed by Omaha race professionals at Peak Performance.  After expenses, all proceeds will be given to the Heartland Walk for Warmth to support the energy assistance programs administered by The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.

Run registration for individuals is $30 prior to August 25th, and $35 after that date.  Walk registration is $20 for an individual or a family before August 25 and $25 after.
