The Board of the Metro Omaha Medical Society announces that Carol Wang has been named the new Executive Director.  Ms. Wang joined the organization on a limited basis the beginning of July and began full-time effective August 5, 2013.

Ms. Wang is an award winning broadcast journalist and was named one of Ten Outstanding Young Omahans in 2009 by the Omaha Jaycees.  Her broadcast career includes Omaha KMTV Channel 3 from 2007 – 2012 and more recently at KETV Channel 7.  Her broadcast awards include the 2011 Nebraska Broadcasters Association 2nd Place Best Newscast/Best Website, 2011 Omaha Press Club Best Evening Newscast, 2009 Nebraska Broadcasters Association First Place Best Newscast and 2006 NBC Universal Ovation Award.

Ms. Wang has also been active for nearly a decade with a number of local community and health-care related organizations. Ms. Wang currently serves on the Executive Board and Development Committee of the Nebraska AIDS Project and served as Chair of the Night of a Thousand Stars in 2008 and 2012.
