Methodist Jennie Edmundson Gears Up for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Plans have started for the Methodist Jennie Edmundson (www.jehfoundation.org) Hospital “Pink Out” events to promote the awareness and the fight against breast cancer during the month of October. The “Bosom Buddies,” survivors and advocates for the prevention and cure of breast cancer, will again be raising awareness and funds to support the work of Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital’s Breast Leadership Team through educational opportunities, community awareness, and free breast screenings.

Dates have been set for Proclamations in three communities in Southwest Iowa – beginning first in Council Bluffs on Friday, October 11 at the Whiskey Road House; Glenwood, IA on October 17; and Malvern, IA on October 18. All three communities will have activities planned throughout the month. T-shirt sales begin this month to help raise funds for the cause.

As the activities unfold, more information will be available on the Jennie Edmundson Foundation website, www.jehfoundation.org, and on the Facebook page (@JennieEdmundsonFoundation). You can also contact the Jennie Edmundson Foundation directly at (712) 396-6040.
