Clearwater Counseling Speaks Out for National Recovery Month

National Recovery Month is an observance held every September to educate Americans about substance use treatment and mental health services and how these resources can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life. Clearwater Counseling (clearwatercounselingpc.org) urges individuals to promote Recovery Month and talk about mental health resources openly.

Recovery Month promotes the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders; celebrates people in recovery; lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers; and promotes the message that recovery in all forms is possible. Recovery Month sends a positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people can and do recover. The 2021 National Recovery Month theme is “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” reminding those in recovery that they are not alone in their journey.

Clearwater Counseling works with clients in the Grand Island and Omaha area who are struggling with a variety of mental health diagnoses including depression, relationship issues, stress, grief/loss/trauma, addiction and recovery, co-dependency, anxiety and phobias, parenting problems, sexual abuse and incest, physical abuse and violence, as well as various others.
