The Nebraska Safety Council has announced that WorkWell is accepting applications for the Governor’s Wellness Award program. The Governor’s Wellness Award program recognizes organizations and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional wellness leadership and made notable efforts in providing quality wellness programs for their employees. The annual Governor’s Wellness Award is administered by WorkWell, a division of the Nebraska Safety Council, in partnership with the State of Nebraska and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Through state and local efforts, the well-being of Nebraskans has become a top strategic issue in our state and one that we continue to improve upon each year. Through a collaborative effort between state and local agencies, the Governor’s Wellness Award was developed and is now a top recognition award for wellness across the state.
WorkWell is a division of the Nebraska Safety Council, a nonprofit organization that provides leadership and resources to promote a safe and healthy environment in our workplaces, on our roads and in our homes and communities. Any organization wanting to apply for the 2013 award can review the Governor’s Wellness Award information online at www.nebraska.gov/wellness/index.cgi.
