American Lung Association Prepares for LUNG FORCE Expo

American Lung Association in Nebraska (action.lung.org) recently announced that several leading lung health experts will speak on October 23 at the LUNG FORCE Expo which will take place at the Scott Conference Center in Omaha.

The goal of the event is to bring together healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers to learn about the latest trends, resources and research on lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)/Alpha-1, asthma, and other lung diseases.

“There are more than 200,000 in Nebraska who suffer from lung disease, including thousands who battle lung cancer. That’s why this event is more important than ever to communicate new treatments, help people live better with lung disease and share the newest research,” said Erin Smith, health promotions specialist for the Lung Association. “We are honored to offer presentations by some of the most important voices in lung health in Nebraska.”

The LUNG FORCE Expo will include presentations on screening and advancements in early lung cancer management, interventional pulmonology, COPD, tobacco cessation, pediatric asthma and more. There will also be a poster presentation by students from across the state.

Healthcare professionals, as well as patients living with lung disease or lung cancer, and caregivers are invited to attend the event. Registration is now open.
