American Lung Association Partners with OrthoNebraska for Corporate Cup Training
On June 21, the American Lung Association in Nebraska, in partnership with OrthoNebraska, announced the continuation of the Corporate Cup Training Crew, an integrated training plan for the Fight For Air Corporate Cup. Set for September 8, the Fight For Air Corporate Cup is a 10K and two-mile run/walk that benefits the Lung Association in Nebraska. Almost 90% of the proceeds of the event will help fund local support of education, research, and advocacy in finding a cure for lung disease.
This is the second year of the Corporate Cup Training Crew, which includes a training plan, running clinics, access to orthopaedic specialists, and more. The program is designed to help novice runners train for a 10k run, but also to help competitive runners improve their stride.
Corporate Cup participants who elect to fundraise $150 or more are eligible to register as a member of the Corporate Cup Training Crew. Each participant gets: a personalized 10K training plan; weekly insights from the experts at OrthoNebraska on topics such as injury prevention, proper stretching, nutrition, etc.; the opportunity to visit the monthly OrthoNebraska Scheels Clinics and talk with the Optimum Stride therapists; the opportunity to communicate any questions or concerns via e-mail with the Optimum Stride team; and the opportunity to schedule a drop-in for a quick Q&A with the therapists at OrthoNebraska.
