First Responders Foundation to Host First Responders & Military Appreciation Night

The Fourth Annual First Responders & Military Appreciation Night with Guns & Hoses Car Racing at I-80 Speedway will be held on July 1, presented by the First Responders Foundation (firstrespondersfoundation.org).

The night will start with a reverse tribute lap for first responders and veterans comprised of police and fire vehicles from departments across the state. The reverse tribute lap will honor first responders, especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

During intermission, the Guns & Hoses racing will take place! This family-friendly event pits law enforcement against firefighters to see who can handle a race car with the most precision. Who will take home the gold, the Red or the Blue Team?

The First Responders Foundation Race Team is a fleet of four race cars. Each car honors fallen first responders and veterans with photos of Cpl. Daegan Page, Omaha Police Officer Kerrie Orozco, Pottawattamie County Deputy Sheriff Mark Burbridge, Lincoln Police Investigator Mario Herrera, and Ponca Hills Firefighter Dennis Bender. The team drives to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and for those who serve and protect and put their lives on the line every day. For tickets, go to www.i-80speedway.com.
