The Cinco de Mayo Omaha Festival, put on by Cinco de Mayo Omaha (CDMO, cdmomaha.com), is Omaha’s #1 diverse and largest festival. This year, it will take place May 12-14 along the historic South 24th St. The event will feature live music and entertainment, carnival rides, a parade, food, exhibitors, MISS/Mister Program and coronation, luncheon, Qué Chulo dog contest, games, and concerts. The festival attracts 250,000 visitors from six surrounding states!

In honor of its rich Mexican heritage, Nebraska’s South Omaha Latino community has been hosting Mexican festivals in Omaha for decades, dating back to 1920. Throughout history the festivities have included live music, food, dancers and parade— a tradition of cultural pride.
