Centris Federal Credit Union (centrisfcu.org) is pleased to announce the promotions of Jason Scheopner to the role of vice president, strategy and planning and Michelle Vybiral, to assistant vice president, strategic risk management.

Scheopner will lead corporate strategy and operational planning from ideation to execution in his new role where he will coordinate input from Centris leadership and board of directors. He will continue to direct and oversee strategic alignment across Centris and the activities of the project management office. Before joining Centris in 2021, Scheopner had 19 years of experience in various roles in project management, business continuity/disaster recovery, compliance, and operations at a national securities firm and large Nebraska-based bank.

Scheopner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University. He holds the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute; Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance; Certificate for Business Strategy: Competitive Advantage and Connected Strategy from Wharton Business School.

Vybiral began her career with Centris in 2005 and has held many roles with increasing responsibilities with the most recent as strategic risk manager. As assistant vice president, strategic risk management, Vybiral will continue to lead her team in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering investigations, fraud management, business continuity and vendor management.

Vybiral is a graduate of Peru State University with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She currently holds a Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designation and is the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Officer.
