Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA, casaomaha.org) for Douglas County is preparing for their Children’s Holiday Party on Friday, December 16, and there are a couple opportunities for the community to get involved and support this special event! To help make the holiday season a bit brighter for the children CASA serves, the nonprofit invites local residents, businesses, and other community organizations to either:
- Purchase an item off CASA’s Amazon Wishlist
- Host a Gift Card Drive
- Sponsor a child
- Make a general monetary donation
For questions about hosting a Gift Card Drive or becoming a sponsor, reach out to Recruitment Manager Jordan Fletcher at jfletcher@casaomaha.org.
Court Appointed Special Advocates for Douglas County is a nonprofit organization that trains and supports volunteers to represent the best interests of victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court and in the community. The desired result is that children be placed in safe, loving homes where they can thrive.
