Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS) (wwfs.org) will be holding a Ribbon Cutting and Open House to celebrate 20 years in Omaha on Thursday, March 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 11218 John Galt Blvd. STE 103. Every warrior has a next mission. They know that the transition to civilian life is a journey. And for every warrior, family member and caregiver, that journey looks different.

Their mission is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The families of our casualties suffer in many ways: some physically, some psychologically. WWFS services US Military Veteran Families in the Greater Omaha Community with a number of programs. WWFS also partners with other nonprofits with similar missions and goals.

Programs include:

  • Caregiver and Veteran Respite
  • Family Retreats
  • Welding Training
  • Mobility is Freedom (Mobility-Equipped vehicles and grants)
  • Unmet Needs

Rated a four-star nonprofit by Charity Navigator, Wounded Warriors Family Support aids Veterans and their families in healing the wounds that medicine cannot. To learn more about Wounded Warriors Family Support or to donate, visit wwfs.org.
