Midtown Crossing’s popular End of Summer Concert Series, presented by the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), is back again, bolder than ever, bringing its eclectic mix of music to Turner Park for a fourth year in a row.

Held on three consecutive Thursday evenings, the Series launches on August 20th with Judah and the Lion, a folk/bluegrass band (in the style of Mumford and Sons) that recently toured with Mat Kearney. The UNO Marching Mavericks will open.

A favorite tour companion of ZZ Top and currently touring in Europe, The Ben Miller Band makes a Series appearance on August 27th. The UNO Percussion Ensemble will open.

Up-and-coming country star Logan Mize wraps up the series on September 3rd and the UNO Jazz One will open. A fireworks finale, immediately following the concert, will cap off the evening and kick off Labor Day Weekend.

All performances are free to the public with the Turner Park venue opening at 5 p.m. The UNO opening acts beginning at 6:30 p.m. each night with the headliner taking the stage at 7 p.m. This is UNO’s third year as series sponsor.
