Step back in time to the days of knights in shining armor, merry maids, jousting, medieval games, magical adventures and more at the 2015 Renaissance Festival of Nebraska, set for May 2-3 and 9-10 at the Bellevue Berry Farm and Pumpkin Ranch.
This year’s festival will feature live stage performances, hands-on activities, artisan markets, historical fun, feasting fit for a king and more – all in a charming 10-acre theme park atmosphere. New for 2015, there will be a Royal Ale Garden and two jousting troupes who have never performed at The Renaissance Festival of Nebraska: The Knights of the Rose and New Riders of the Golden Age. The Knights of the Rose are an all-female light and heavy armor jousting troupe from Ohio (theknightsoftherose.com). The New Riders of the Golden Age are a heavy-battle jousting troupe from Florida (warhorse.com).
Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (rain or shine), and tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-12.
