Entrepreneur Tunde Bankole recently purchased three Dickey’s Barbecue Pit (dickeys.com) restaurants—in Omaha, Lincoln, and Bellevue—with hopes of keeping more local business going strong after the pandemic. In Omaha, Tunde bought the Dickey’s franchise at 15825 W Maple Rd., STE 107. It is open for dine-in business, as well as delivery through Grub Hub and Door Dash services. You can also order online for no-contact pickup at the restaurant. Under Tunde’s ownership, Dickey’s continues to provide catering for gatherings, including holiday celebrations, as well as providing individual box lunches for meetings or other situations. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is a true American success story. The brand has come a long way since World War I Veteran Travis Dickey opened the fi rst location in 1941. But some things never change.
