Toastmasters District 24 Sponsors February Frenzy, March Madness Membership Drives

While public speaking is a key element to Toastmasters (d24tm.org, toastmasters.org/resources), connecting with others is the real reward, and the District 24 clubs in the area are sponsoring February Frenzy and March Madness membership drives to share that reward with more people. These drives give guests a chance to join a club meeting, meet new people, and learn about Toastmasters’ many benefits. Members signing up during these months will receive a commemorative Toastmasters coin, and the clubs with the most new members will receive recognition from Toastmasters International, a ribbon to display on their club banner, and discounts or gift certificates for the Toastmasters store to use for club members and resources.

Both the club and guest benefit when an individual visits a Toastmasters club; both parties get the chance to network and connect, share diverse ideas, and hear new perspectives within a supportive environment, where no matter how inexperienced you are, you will receive applause for speaking (or sometimes, jazz hands, which work better for Zoom meetings). Best of all, it’s never been easier to join a club meeting. While guests are always welcome to attend club meetings for free with no obligation to get up and speak, most of their clubs meet entirely online! Those interested can find a schedule of online club meeting times at meetup.com/District-24-Toastmasters-Meetup.

Toastmasters International empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Toastmasters District 24 includes over 60 clubs and 1,000 members across Nebraska and Council Bluffs, IA.
