ThePinkStore.com is proud to announce that after a year spent with an ongoing legal matter that threatened to potentially shut down the local business, everything has officially been resolved! Victoria’s Secret Stores Brand Management, Inc. filed a petition with the United States Patent and Trademark office to cancel the trademark “The Pink Store.” This trademark was registered in May 2013 to Rebekah A. Doolittle, the owner of the online retail store that features all things in the color pink. The national mega brand claimed in its petition that there was confusion created in using the word “pink.”

In December, at the request of Victoria’s Secret, the trademark opposition was withdrawn. Beka is thrilled to continue “Painting the World Pink,” bringing a touch of pink to the lives of her customers. She firmly believes that the two companies can peacefully coexist in the retail world moving forward.

“We are so very happy knowing that the color pink isn’t hanging over our heads like a black cloud but has instead tickled us pink with persistence and perseverance. Victoria’s Secret and Thepinkstore.com will coexist as they have in years past and the future looks as bright as pink is prevalent in today’s girl-filled world.” – Beka Doolittle, owner of ThePinkStore.com.
