After more than 30 years as a leader in health care administration, Glenn A. Fosdick announced his retirement at the end of last year as President and CEO of The Nebraska Medical Center.   Under Fosdick’s guidance and leadership, the medical center has extended its reach and has become a regional medical care delivery system.  Three years after taking the helm, The Nebraska Medical Center was first in consumer awareness and preference and had the highest market share in the Omaha metropolitan area.  The year 2013 marked Fosdick’s 19th year as a CEO, and he said that he felt it was the right time to transition his responsibilities to the next leadership team, considering the tremendous efforts underway to integrate the clinical enterprise.

With a reputation for excellence, innovation and extraordinary patient care, The Nebraska Medical Center is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of America’s Top Hospitals in cancer, neurology/neurosurgery, orthopaedics, gastroenterology and nephrology.  As the teaching hospital for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, this 627 licensed bed academic medical center has an international reputation for providing solid organ and bone marrow transplantation and is well known nationally and regionally for its oncology, neurology and cardiology programs.  For more information about The Nebraska Medical Center visit www.nebraskamed.com.
