The Great HALL-oween Haunt Returns to The Durham Museum

One of Omaha’s most beloved Halloween traditions, The Great HALL-oween Haunt, returns to The Durham Museum (DurhamMuseum.org) on Tuesday, October 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. Families are invited to don their favorite costumes and enjoy a fun, festive evening set against the stunning backdrop of historic Union Station.

Children can trick-or-treat through the museum, collecting goodies from costumed historic characters stationed throughout the exhibits. In the Swanson “Ghoulery,” little ghosts and goblins can enjoy games and creepy crafts. Visitors can also tiptoe aboard the museum’s haunted train cars—spooky, but never too scary for young guests.

Set within the grandeur of Omaha’s former Union Station, The Durham Museum offers a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience that blends history, architecture, and holiday fun. As an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and with partnerships with the Library of Congress, National Archives, and Field Museum, The Durham brings history to life in engaging and accessible ways year-round.
