The Garrett Group, Inc. Honored as Veteran Owned Business of the Year in Nebraska

The Garrett Group, Inc. was honored as the Nebraska Business Development Center’s 2012 “Veteran Owned Business of the Year” on March 14th at the Nebraska State Capitol.  The Garrett Group (TGG) is a service-disabled veteran-owned business that specializes in information security, intelligence and security consulting.  President and CEO Tommy Garrett is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel with extensive experience in the intelligence field.  He and four others launched TGG in May of 2007. TGG’s goal is to give at least 10 percent of its annual profit back to the local community through numerous charitable donations and involvement including scholarships to five area high schools. TGG participates in many efforts that benefit veterans, such as its sponsorship of 15 rooms at the Open Door Mission dedicated to homeless veterans. The company hires veterans whenever possible, and is working to build an internship program for college students.
