If you’re tired of going bowling with your friends and want to do something new and exciting, look no further than the recently invented “Fowling” (fowlingwarehouse.com), which rhymes with bowling. Like bowling, the objective of the game is to knock all ten pins down in as little attempts as possible. However, what sets it apart from bowling is its method of knocking the pins down. This game combines two of Nebraska favorite past times, football and bowling. That’s correct, instead of knocking all the pins down with a larger bowling ball, a football is used. Simply throw the football at the pins and try to knock them down in as little throws as possible.

If it sounds like this game was invented by young boys when they were bored, you’d be right! This game was invented in 2001 by a man and his friends while tailgating at the Indy 500. When a bowling ball didn’t really work for the rough gravel of the tailgating pavement, they tried footballs, which worked wonderfully.

The new location was opened by two Omahans, Mark Wolf and Dan Fishburn, and offers 30 lanes and two full-service bars. It’s the ninth Fowling Warehouse in the country. They recently celebrated their opening with an open house and are now officially open for business. Learn more about fowling at fowlingwarehouse.com.
