The Empowerment Network Presents the African-American Leadership Conference

The Empowerment Network (empoweromaha.com) is excited to present the 8th Annual African-American Leadership Conference on October 25, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at the CHI Health Center Omaha. This year’s conference is titled Creating a Culture of Excellence and will focus on creating an environment where African-Americans are thriving economically. Join hundreds of local, regional, and national leaders for this powerful experience.

The keynote speaker of the conference will be Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo, president of the Obama Foundation. Adewale is a former senior economic advisor to President Obama, former chief of staff at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and former deputy chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Treasury. There will also be an afternoon keynote led by Tawanna Black, CEO at the Center for Economic Inclusion in Minneapolis. Additional guest speakers for the morning EmPower Talks and breakout sessions include the following national strategists and partners: Jaylen Bledsoe, CEO of Bledsoe Collective out of Los Angeles, on the topic of youth entrepreneurship; Dr. Pamela Jolly, CEO of Torch Enterprises out of Philadelphia, on the topic of legacy wealth; Dr. Randal Pinkett, CEO of BCT Partners out of Newark, on the topic of redefining the game; and Dr. Will Moreland, CEO of Moreland Int. out of Phoenix, on the topics of purpose and potential. During the luncheon, the African-American Legends Award will be presented to Roger Sayers, hall-of-fame athlete, pioneer with Union Pacific BEN, and church and community leader.
