The Empowerment Network (empoweromaha.com) will be hosting their 13th Annual Christmas in the Village from noon to 5 p.m. on December 2 at 24th and Lake. This community celebration and holiday tradition will take place between 24th and Burdette to 24th and Ohio St.
This is an opportunity to bring the entire family down to enjoy the holiday festivities, support local businesses at the Christmas in the Village Holiday Boutique, Styles of Evolution, Ital Vital, Jackson’s Fair Deal Café, Holiday Market at The Union, restaurants, arts institutions and other retailers. There will be free goodie bags (while they last), treats, Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting, interactive arts and crafts, free horse-drawn carriage rides, live outdoor holiday music, nativity animals including a camel, exhibits, cartoon characters, tours and Balloon Twister at the Great Plains Black History Museum and more!
Christmas in the Village is presented by the Empowerment Network and the Omaha Economic Development Corporation (OEDC) in partnership with 50+ businesses and organizations. It is sponsored by American National Bank, Douglas County Visitor Improvement Fund, Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, KETV, Revive! Omaha and Veridian Credit Union.
