In just a few weeks, The National Association of Women in Construction Greater Omaha (NAWIC) (nawicomaha.org) will host the Block Kids Building Event. This is an amazing hands-on event that introduces kids to the world of construction in a fun and engaging way! Join NAWIC on Saturday, January 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Metropolitan Community College’s south campus. This event is perfect for kids K-6th grade to explore design and construction through creative building projects. They will use building blocks, string, aluminum foil and more to build unique structures, all while learning about the exciting construction industry.
