Superior Dental Health, with offices in Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island, has signed on as the 2014 Bike Sponsor for the Omaha Home for Boys Helping with Horsepower ™ Bike Rebuild program. The Bike Sponsorship covers the cost of securing the used bike and parts necessary to rebuild it into the custom design created by Home youth.  Dr. Don Smith is the owner of the dental practices and learned about the Home’s Bike Rebuild project when he attended last September’s Restoring Hearts with Bike PartsTM celebration. The proud owner of a Harley-Davidson Wide Glide himself, Smith said he felt compelled to get involved.

Home youth recently began dismantling a Harley-Davidson FXR model motorcycle that they will redesign, rebuild and customize over the next four months, unveiling the finished bike May 13 on the Omaha Home for Boys campus. The motorcycle will then be raffled off at the Home’s signature Restoring Hearts with Bike Parts celebration September 25, 2014, at Hilton-Omaha. Raffle ticket sales begin June 28.

The intent of the project is to provide education, empowerment and encouragement for OHB youth, who are generally at-risk due to neglect, poor environment, truancy or poor school performance, drug and alcohol abuse and/or the inability of their families to support them.
