This expansion began in the summer of 2013 with major construction on its new facility in Omaha. The project included the addition of new features such as climate controlled rooms and new drive-up storage rooms, as well as more units in the two most popular sizes: 10×20 and 12×35. As a result, Strong Box Storage has effectively doubled its climate controlled space in Papillion while using less energy than the previous building which was removed. In addition to improving features of the storage rooms, the outside appearance of the facility was improved with new attractive fencing and landscaping. Digital video surveillance was also installed throughout the entire property, as well as state of the art lighting and modern design elements.
