The Strategic Air & Space Museum is taking learning to new heights and igniting the thrill of innovation and discovery with the latest and most cutting edge learning experiences.  These experiences include an Earth Balloon 20’ in diameter that allows students to view the Earth in its entirety from the inside out, a mobile Science Outreach Laboratory, a traveling Planetarium, Solar Telescopes, a Multi-Axis Trainer, and a crowd-pleasing inflatable space shuttle bouncer which is 46’ in length.  The museum brings these experiences to communities across the state and region during their summer outreach, including Kearney, Imperial and Chadron, Neb.  Last summer, the Strategic Air & Space Museum provided educational programs to 13,000 students and teachers from 53 Nebraska counties.  That number is expected to increase significantly as the Strategic Air & Space Museum continues to book programs throughout the state and region this summer.

The Strategic Air & Space Museum, located between Lincoln and Omaha near Interstate 80, utilizes over 300,000 square feet of exhibit, education, and event space.  The museum houses an impressive collection of military aircraft and space artifacts, many of which have been restored in the museum’s on-site restoration facility.  Traveling exhibits, permanent exhibits, and a variety of special events provide additional unique experiences for the museum’s members and guests.
