A South Omaha Historical Tour ‘Visita el Barrio’ will be held Friday, November 9th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The tour is conducted by bus, with several stops to highlight unique spaces and to sample and enjoy some of South Omaha’s finest history and diversity. The purpose of ‘Visita el Barrio’ is to promote the South Omaha area. This program by bus tours showcases South Omaha as a hard working community that is trying to develop itself and welcomes the investment of all kinds of ethnic communities of Omaha.
The tour seeks to educate participants about cultural differences and to reduce negative perceptions about South Omaha.
‘Donation’ is $25 per person for one to three people, $22 per person for three to five people and $20 per person for a group of five or more. This includes transportation, food (two restaurants), historical tour and entertainment (folkloric ballets, mariachis and bands).
