Blur Events announces a new focus for its 13th annual Sip Nebraska Spring Festival: the event’s growing economic impact across the state and its continued partnership with Bravo Zulu Adventure Group, a veteran founded nonprofit supporting first responders, healthcare workers, and their families.
Sip Nebraska has become a significant driver of tourism and small business revenue, drawing thousands of attendees to Mahoney State Park each spring. With more than 24 breweries, wineries, cideries, and distilleries participating, the festival generates meaningful sales for Nebraska makers — many of whom travel from rural communities such as Scottsbluff, Imperial, and Syracuse.
“Every year, Sip Nebraska brings together small businesses from across the state, and the economic ripple effect is real,” said Stacy Leners, founder of Blur Events. “From lodging at one of Nebraska largest state parks, Eugene T. Mahoney, to food trucks, artisans, and beverage producers, this festival fuels local revenue while giving Nebraskans a chance to support homegrown makers.”
At the heart of this year’s event is Bravo Zulu Adventure Group, returning for its second year. Founded by veterans, the nonprofit provides outdoor adventures and community events for first responders and healthcare workers — groups that often face high stress and burnout. Sip Nebraska will feature Bravo Zulu’s skydiving demonstrations, and opportunities for attendees to meet the team behind the organization.
The festival runs Friday, May 8, 4–9 p.m., and Saturday, May 9, 1–9 p.m. (Early Access at 11 a.m.). Tickets and full details are available at blurevents.com. Lodging at Mahoney State Park is available. Sponsorships remain open; contact (402) 882-2448.
