Shandy’s Swedish Bakery Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting
Shandy’s Swedish Bakery (shandysbakery.com), a new spot focused on Scandinavian baked goods, is now open. A grand opening celebration was officially held at the bakery, located at 13811 T Plaza, on January 26. The event ran from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted at 9:30 a.m. The kitchen served guests a full-on Swedish-style menu, complete with coffee and almond rusks, along with sweet breads, cookies, and breakfast pastries.
Owner Shandy Thorell Loberg is very grateful for the opportunity to bake heritage recipes with love and offer a warm bakery experience to the community. Among the bakery’s fan favorites are its Swedish rye bread and Scandinavian almond cake. The kitchen also makes yeast breads, kolache and quick breads, among other items.
