Scoular Moves Headquarters to Provide Employees with Flexible, Collaborative Spaces

This fall, Scoular (www.scoular.com) moved its headquarters from downtown Omaha to a more central location for employees and to accommodate its nearly 50% increase in number of staff over the past five years: a three-story building at 13660 California St. With $6 billion in annual revenue, the agribusiness sought a new headquarters to adjust to its growth plans and to create an energizing, high performance workplace.

Omaha firm Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture designed the space, which showcases Scoular’s newly refreshed brand. The interior color palette includes rich wood grains, blue hues, and bright pops of yellow throughout the open space. Other highlights include: “The Exchange,” a central breakroom designed for collaboration and socialization; a range of spaces throughout the building to foster collaboration; video conferencing in all meeting rooms to ensure connectivity for employees who aren’t meeting in person; spaces to promote health and wellness; enhanced HVAC features and high-quality air filtration systems; and more.

Since its founding in 1892, Scoular has been defining what’s possible in agribusiness supply chains for customers and partners around the world. Their more than 1,000 employees operate from over 100 offices, grain elevators, and processing facilities in North America and Asia. No matter where they work, everyone at Scoular is committed to innovation and integrity in the business of buying, selling, storing, handling, processing, and transporting grain and ingredients.
