Sarpy County Economic Growth Leads to Name Change

On July 28, Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation announced a new name and identity to better reflect their success and mission. Now known as Grow Sarpy (www.GrowSarpy.com), the member of the Greater Omaha Chamber Economic Development Partnership has been an integral player in recent growth and expansion of Sarpy County’s business community.
In an economic impact analysis released in conjunction with the name change, analysts at the Greater Omaha Chamber cited 32 landed projects dating back to 2013. Those projects add about $1.1 billion to the local economy each year. Those 32 projects are also directly responsible for 3,075 jobs, and support an additional 2,152 workers in the community through increased economic activity.

Along with the ongoing impact of landed projects, the impact analysis shows construction activity surrounding these projects generated $5.7 billion in construction activity, and more than 50,000 jobs in the construction industry.

The impact of Grow Sarpy’s partnerships extends beyond economic and job growth. Other relationships in the community have wide-ranging impact on schools, tourism and recreation as well.

Grow Sarpy brings industry and government together for the greater good of the local economy. With the common goal of promoting the county and inspiring companies of all sizes to move here and stay here, Grow Sarpy serves the state’s fastest growing county. Learn more at www.GrowSarpy.com.
