Sarpy County Chamber’s Grand Giveway a Big Success Thanks to Community Support

The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce (www.SarpyChamber.org) held their annual “Grand Giveaway” event on Wednesday, March 29th at the Livestock Exchange Building. The sold-out event featured both a live and silent auction, dinner and drinks, and a “Great Outdoors” theme that had the Chamber staff become the Sarpy Chamber Rangers and even had several attendees sporting flannel and hiking boots.

The fundraiser benefited the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce, and with a 50% increase in auction item bids, the Sarpy Chamber counts the event as a huge success. “Not only did people come through with donating these great auction items, they came through with generous bidding,” says SCCC Event Director, Annisa Visty-Withrow, “We’re incredibly thankful to our donors, sponsors, and volunteers. Their support and dedication to the Chamber always amazes us.”

The SCCC has over 160 events a year designed to provide business and professional orientated education, advocacy, and leadership in the community. Funds raised at the Grand Giveaway go towards keeping those events free or low-cost. “Seeing this generous response really demonstrates the value our members see in the Sarpy Chamber and our staff,” explains Karen Gibler, SCCC President. “Support like this shows how our community is so amazing and keeps our chamber strong. It’s why our team is so committed.”
