Sarpy County Chamber Foundation Awards $120K in Small-Business Grants

The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce (https://www.sarpychamber.org/) announced July 14 that it awarded more than $120,000 in grants to 70 local small businesses through its Foundation. Applications for the small-business grants opened June 1, and award letters went into the mail July 10. Businesses with 50 or fewer employees were eligible, and the grants were open to all Sarpy Chamber members, as well as non-members, as long as they are located within the county. The Chamber’s advisory committee reviewed all applications to determine the amounts given, with the goal of helping as many businesses as possible.

“We are so excited to be in the position where we can offer this assistance to small businesses facing difficulties right now,” said Sarpy County Chamber President Karen Gibler. “We’re extremely grateful to all the donors who made it possible for us to support our business community.”

The Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce will continue to support and uplift the business community with their resources for networking, development, advocacy, and education, as their work will be integral to helping the community get back to business when and if normalcy returns.
