Outlook’s annual Tee It Up Fore Sight raises money to support Outlook Enrichment programs, which provide blind and visually impaired individuals with a wide range of resources and recreational activities — helping people on their journey beyond vision.
“As we learned more about people who are blind and all of the work they do, we found that a paycheck alone wasn’t independence. So we were able to form other organizations, such as Outlook Enrichment, to serve many aspects of a life of a person who is blind or visually impaired to help them fulfill their personal and career goals,” says Eric Stueckrath, President and CEO of Outlook.
Blind and visually impaired golfers who will participate in the tournament are practicing now as part of the Stanley M. Truhlsen Jr. Blind Golfer Clinic. Participants partner with an adaptive sports specialist to practice putting, chipping and driving techniques. The group utilizes a state-of-the-art sports simulator at Outlook Enrichment, 72nd and F Sts.
