Professional Rodeo Cowboy Action Returns to Omaha This Fall
Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) action will return to Omaha on September 28-29, 2018 at CenturyLink Center Omaha. Omaha River City Rodeo (www.omaharivercityrodeo.org), presented by First National Bank, will host the final pro-rodeo competition of the season for the best rodeo cowboys in the sport. After nine months of travel and competition across the nation, the rodeo athletes will compete in Omaha for a spot in the super bowl of Rodeo, the National Finals in Las Vegas.
Both nights of rodeo action will feature all seven rodeo events including steer wrestling, team roping and bull riding. Event tickets as low as $20 will go on sale May 11 via www.ticketmaster.com outlets.
Omaha River City Rodeo is presented by a local non-profit organization, Omaha Rodeo Inc., founded by members of the former Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo Committee. “The return of professional rodeo action to Omaha is the result of community leaders coming together to support this unique sporting event,” said volunteer Sherman Berg. “Omaha was a destination for rodeo fans for decades and we are working with the PRCA to bring back the same level of rodeo action.”
The 2018 event will also include a Rough N’ Ready Rodeo and the Douglas County High School Champions Challenge. For more information, visit www.omaharivercityrodeo.org for season ticket opportunities or Omaha River City Rodeo on Facebook and Omaha River City Rodeo on Twitter.
