The Omaha Symphony’s annual Christmas production has a new title sponsor that reflects its evolution from traditional concert to dazzling holiday event: Physicians Mutual.  The Omaha-based insurance company signed a three-year commitment to sponsor the newly re-titled Physicians Mutual Omaha Symphony Christmas Spectacular. The production will run six performances during December 12-15. It features newly commissioned symphonic music arrangements, Broadway singers and dancers, a touch of magic, brilliant costumes, reindeer (both real and make-believe!) and the always popular dancing Santas. The Omaha Symphony’s annual Christmas performances have become a Yuletide tradition for thousands of Omaha and metro-area families.  Omaha Symphony Resident Conductor Ernest Richardson will conduct the Omaha Symphony, and New York City-based Peter Lockyer will direct the production.

The Physicians Mutual Omaha Symphony Christmas Spectacular has six performances to choose from: Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets start at $19 and can be purchased by visiting www.omahasymphony.org or by calling Ticket Omaha at (402) 345-0606.
