Omaha’s 2017 Better Business Bureau Integrity Award Winners Announced
Encouraging and supporting ethical business practices are important to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Nebraska, South Dakota, The Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa. The Integrity Award is the most prestigious award BBB can present to a business or charity. Being a recipient indicates that the organization not only believes in the high standards promoted by BBB, but also consistently acts on them and continuously integrates them into daily practices.
The 2017 Award Winners were honored on Tuesday, October 17th for their unique contributions to business excellence in metro Omaha at BBB’s 22nd Annual Integrity Awards Luncheon held at the Omaha – La Vista Conference Center.
In the small business and charity categories the following received BBB Integrity Awards: Monarch Siding and Windows, Inc. (1-4 employees); Consortio Group, LLC (5-10 Employees); FirstLight Home Care – Omaha (11-24 employees) and Heartland Hope Mission (charity).
In the large for-profit business categories, the companies awarded were: Pella Windows and Doors of Omaha & Lincoln (25-99 employees); The Harry A. Koch Co. (100-249 employees); CLASS North America Holdings, Inc. (250-499 employees). The judges also selected three companies in the category of businesses with 500+ employees. They are Pinnacle Bank, Signature Performance and First National Bank. The large charity that earned a BBB Integrity Award is Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc.
The judges felt that the overall quality of other applications was also strong. Those that demonstrated that they placed a high priority on honesty and integrity in the work place were recognized with “Silver Awards of Distinction” for significant commitment to ethical business practices. Others received “Bronze Awards of Merit” for exemplifying the values of the BBB.
The “Silver Award of Distinction” recipients are: Grief’s Journey, Community Alliance Rehabilitation Services, OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc., Merchants Credit Adjusters, Inc. and Thrasher, Inc.
The charity and businesses that received “Bronze Awards of Merit” are: Completely Kids, SAC Federal Credit Union and General Service Bureau.
