Omahajobs.com has announced their 2nd annual Veterans Job Fair will take place on May 15th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community College South Campus. Admission is free and open to the general public, with no requirement to be a veteran in order to attend.
There will be more than thirty employers, as well as Military Support Organizations, available onsite. Some of these employers include: Sitel, C & A Industries, Bellevue University, Verizon Wireless, Physicians Mutual, Cox Communications, The Reader, OmahaJobs.com, OPPD, Metropolitan Community College, HyVee, Inc., JTL Truck Driver Training, Creighton University (EOC), Goodwill Industries, Armetis, Inc., West Corporation, NEI Global Relocation, Telvent, VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care Systems, Gallup and the American Red Cross-Service to Armed Forces Program. Additionally, the military resources available include: Consumer Credit Counseling Services of NE, Nebraska Respite Network-Eastern Region, Survivor Outreach Services, Score, NE Dept. of Labor, Military Family Life Consultants, NE Military Transition Assistance Advisor, Boys Town-Common Sense Parenting (R.) Program, VA Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment, Family Assistance Program, Brain Injury Association of NE, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, Army Wounded Warrior Program, New Century Art Guild, Returning Veterans Resource Network, Small Business Administration, and Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve.
Workshops will also be hosted during the job fair.
